Access the page manager from the main menu via Website > Page Manager.

The page manager displays a separate page icon for every type of page on your website. Within the icon are links that provide an easy and fast way to access the configuration of content for pages of that type.

Home page example:

To edit the body text of your home page you now simply find the Home page icon in the Page Manager and click on body.

News page example:

To add a new news item simply locate the News page icon in the page manager and click on the "News" link. This will instantly take you to the news article management screen from where you can add new news articles or edit or delete existing ones.
