News article manager: new feature
May 12, 2009pagebloom hosted sites now have an easy to use news manager to provide a recent list of news articles about your organization quickly and easily.
Create news articles with title, summary and body and have them automatically appear in news summary panels and in dedicated news pages.
Creating a new news article is a simple process:
- From the admin page for your site click Website and select 'News'
- Click 'Add new News Item'
- Fill out the various fields in your news item
- Press ok.
Your news item will now appear in the news summary panel.
You can also create a menu item in the top menu that links to your news page:
- From Website > Settings.
- Click on 'Main Menu Settings'.
- Click Add menu item and select 'Page Link', click Next then select "News Page"
- Click Next then Finish.
You will see a 'News' item on your main menu when you preview your site.
