There are a number of ways to add images to a pagebloom website.

Product/Category Images

Pagebloom allows you to manage media (image, Flash animations, PDFs, Word Docs etc.,) specific to a product or category by uploading a particular media file directly to the product or category. This is achieved from within the Product Catalog manager by right clicking on a product or category and choosing Gallery/Media manager and then uploading images specific to that product or category.

When rendering a product or category page pagebloom attempts to include an image in the product header area. It will search the list of media for the one that is the 'best match' based on dimensions and type.

Organization Images

The organization details, accessed via Organization > Organization Details and then opening the 'General Details' form allows the specification of two media:

Image

Specifies the image that will appear in the body section of the home page.

Header Image

Specifies the image that will appear in the header of all pages on the site.

The easiest way to manage a general pool of images for use throughout your site is to create a 'Gallery' category in the product catalog (click on product catalog page in the Page Manager to get there) and call it 'Gallery'. In properties for that category uncheck 'Active' so that the Gallery category does not appear in your product catalog.

Upload any images to that Gallery by right clicking on the 'Gallery' and choosing Gallery/Media Manager. You can add new images from there.

To use the images you have uploaded within some content, simply edit that content with the Rich Text Editor and then click on the "Insert/Edit Image" icon that appears like this in the toolbar:

This will allow you to select the image from all of the images that you have ever uploaded to your website.
